Delhi’s Air Quality Declared ‘Very Poor’ with AQI Surging to 310
As a response to this alarming rise in pollution levels, an 11-point action plan has been activated in accordance with Stage II of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP). This action plan is set to take effect in addition to the measures already implemented under Stage I of the GRAP, which aimed to mitigate the ongoing air quality crisis in the capital.
The implementation of Stage II initiatives comes in light of the pressing need for immediate intervention to combat the serious health risks posed by such high levels of air pollution. The authorities emphasize that these measures are essential to safeguard public health and ensure the well-being of residents across the region.
As the city grapples with escalating pollution levels, residents are urged to take precautions, minimize outdoor activities, and stay informed about the evolving air quality scenario. The government remains committed to addressing this environmental challenge and striving for cleaner, healthier air for all.
