Baramulla, Jan 26: Shabroz Malik, reporter with TV9 Bharatvarsh, was honored with the Best Journalist Award by the District Administration Baramulla on the occasion of Republic Day celebrations, in recognition of his impactful reporting on Operation Sindoor and comprehensive coverage of developmental initiatives in the district.The award was presented by Agriculture Minister Javaid Ahmad Dar, who lauded Malik’s dedication, professionalism and people-centric journalism. He said that responsible media plays a vital role in highlighting public issues and developmental works, strengthening transparency and democratic values.Although Shabroz Malik was personally unavailable to receive the award as he is currently out of the state, the award was received on his behalf by his elder brother. The dignitaries present on the occasion included Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Minister RDD Javid Ahmad Dar and SSP Baramulla, besides other senior officials and public representatives.Expressing gratitude, Shabroz Malik said, “Alhamdulillah, thanks to Almighty Allah. I sincerely thank the District Administration Baramulla for recognising my work and continued support. This honour motivates me to continue reporting on issues of public importance with integrity and responsibility.”
