Bandipora, J&K, India March 26: Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Indu Kanwal Chib, on Thursday assured residents that there is no shortage of LPG or fuel in the district and urged people to remain calm.
Addressing a press conference, she said adequate stock of essential fuels is available and appealed to the public not to pay attention to rumor Mongers or misinformation.
The DC also instructed LPG distributors to ensure doorstep delivery of cylinders so that people do not face any inconvenience.
Replying to a question about the Gurez area, she stated that sufficient LPG and fuel stock for nearly a month is already in place there.
She warned that strict action will be taken against anyone found spreading rumors, and urged citizens to cooperate with the administration in maintaining normalcy.
