ELLICOTT CITY, MD — On the evening of Friday, January 23, 2026, Sikhs of America, Inc. organized a prestigious Farewell Reception and Dinner in honor of Shri Jag Mohan, Minister (Community Affairs & Personnel) at the Embassy of India, Washington DC. The event was held at the elegant Mint Room Restaurant in Ellicott City, Maryland.
Dr. Jasdip Singh Jesse praised the outgoing Minister for his accessibility and genuine care for the community. He noted that Shri Jag Mohan’s work has left a lasting impact on how the Embassy engages with the local Sikh and broader Indian community.
The reception served as a heartfelt tribute to Shri Jag Mohan’s three-year in Washington DC. During his time at the Embassy, he has been a pivotal bridge between the Indian government and tdiaspora, earning a reputation for his tireless commitment to community service and the welfare of the Indian-American community.
The evening concluded with a formal dinner, where guests shared personal anecdotes and expressed their gratitude for Shri Jag Mohan’s support over the past 36 months. As he prepares for his next chapter, the community in the DMV area wishes him continued success in his future endeavors
