Bandipora: The Wullar Battalion of the Indian Army today organized a Mega Medical Camp at Onagam in Bandipora district, benefiting a large number of local residents.
The camp witnessed the participation of over 300 individuals, including men, women, and children, who availed free medical consultation, check-ups, and medicines provided by a team of experienced Army doctors and paramedical staff.
Special attention was given to elderly patients, women, and children, with services including general health screening, blood pressure and sugar testing, and distribution of essential medicines. Health awareness sessions were also conducted to educate people about hygiene, preventive care, and common seasonal ailments.
The initiative was widely appreciated by the local population, who expressed gratitude to the Indian Army for bringing essential healthcare services to their doorstep, especially in areas where medical facilities are limited.Such outreach programs reflect the Indian Army’s continued commitment towards the welfare of the local population and strengthening the bond between the Army and civilians.
