25 Flights Grounded Amid Bomb Threats, Passengers Face Major Disruptions
On Sunday, Indian aviation faced a significant security scare as bomb threats targeted 25 flights across various airlines, resulting in considerable inconvenience for hundreds of travelers. This alarming incident follows a wave of similar threats reported just a day earlier, when over 30 flights from multiple carriers were affected. In total, nearly 100 flights this week have been subjected to similar threats, which later turned out to be hoaxes, leading to heightened tensions within security agencies.
Among those impacted on Sunday were six flights each from major carriers, including IndiGo, Vistara, Air India, and Akasa Air, as well as at least one flight from Air India Express. Sources indicate that the rapid succession of threats has prompted a rigorous response from security personnel, ensuring the safety of all passengers and crew members.
